Day 1
- Edfu: visit the Temple of Horus, built in honor of the sun and sky god depicted as a falcon
- Arrive in Aswan and have lunch on the banks of the Nile
- Aswan Dam and the Lotus Monument
- Walk along the Nile
- Temple of Isis on Philae Island, with bas-reliefs showing offerings to the Egyptian gods
- Hotel check-in, free time and dinner
Day 2
- Departure from the hotel to Abu Simbel at about 4:00 a.m. (breakfast on the way); the drive takes about 3 hours
- Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II, dedicated to the gods Amun-Ra and Ptah, and the Small Temple of Nefertari, whose entrance bears the inscription “To the one for whom the sun shines”
- Lunch and return to Aswan
