About this tour

A two-day trip to Luxor with an overnight stay in a 3-star hotel.

Day 1

• Temple of Hathor at Dendera, 60 km from Luxor. Dedicated to Hathor, wife of Horus and patron of love and beauty, its walls are covered with hieroglyphs and reliefs.
• Karnak Temple complex, the most important temple of Ancient Egypt, dedicated to Amun-Ra and his wife Mut.
• The Avenue of Sphinxes, which linked the Luxor and Karnak temples and was used for religious processions.
• Boat ride on the Nile and lunch at a restaurant
• Colossi of Memnon
• Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the mortuary temple of the woman pharaoh, cut into the rock
• Transfer to your Luxor hotel at around 5 pm
• Free time and dinner

Day 2

• Optional hot-air balloon flight ($50 per person), with hotel departure at about 5 am
• Breakfast at the hotel at about 8 am
• Luxor Temple, built under Pharaoh Amenhotep III
• Boat ride on the Nile and buffet lunch at a riverside restaurant
• Temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu, built in the 12th century BC
• Trip to Banana Island (included in the price)
• Visit to the tombs of the necropolis on the west bank of the Nile
